Daniel joined MacDonnells Law in 2023 after having most recently practised as a barrister in private practice for four years. He was previously a federal prosecutor with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions for almost a decade. In those roles, Daniel advised and represented private and government clients on a wide variety of criminal and regulatory matters, including work health and safety (WHS) prosecutions, and regularly managed complex and high-profile litigation.

 

Daniel provides expert advice to organisations and individuals regarding WHS and other regulatory compliance, including conducting reviews of business WHS compliance and officer due diligence compliance. Daniel also provides advice and representation to businesses and company officers in relation to WHS incidents, investigations, and prosecutions.

  • Advising corporate and business clients on WHS and other regulatory compliance
  • Representing businesses in WHS incident response
  • Defending organisations, directors and officers charged with WHS and other regulatory offences
  • Providing regulatory prosecutions services to Government
  • Providing advice to all levels of Government on compliance and enforcement policy, procedure and legislation.
